As part of our commitment to provide quality community education HospiceCenter offers educational programs and speakers at no charge to any group, large or small, in the region. These presentations offer information related to end-of-life care planning, hospice and palliative care services, symptom management, grief and loss, spiritual concerns of the dying, ethical and legal issues at end-of-life, volunteer opportunities, charitable contributions, and many more topics.

The only way we can ensure that all people have the option to select quality end-of-life care is to involve community members in helping us to educate everyone about hospice and our available services. Many family members tell us: “I wish I would have known about hospice services prior to this illness" or “I’m sorry I didn’t know we were eligible for your services much sooner in her illness.”

Our speakers include hospice trained clinical staff, physicians, trained volunteers, a chaplain and social workers. They are dedicated individuals trained to discuss these difficult issues in a comfortable, informative and interesting way. Presentations range from 10 minutes to half-day seminars and can be tailored to specific needs. Our speakers are available during the workday, evenings and weekends.
